We sold our share of an apartment complex to our partners, sold our carwash, sold off 340 acres of land and kept our house with 100 acres. We still could not part with all of our sweat and tears that went into this property. Next we sold most of our personal possessions, vehicles and farm equipment, shipped 12 banker boxes though the US mail to Maui, and packed our final things in suitcases. Very Happy and Very Sad at the same time. We were leaving family and friends for the unknown. Rob's dad picked us up and took us to Minneapolis/St Paul International airport and we were off. |

Suddenly we find ourselves in a very new climate with so many new experiences and adventures. Just the vegetation and fruit in our yard is exciting to us. We have coconuts, papayas, passion fruit, guava and avocados. We started paddling with the Kihei Canoe Club in 6 man outrigger canoes. |

Rob went back in October to clean up some loose ends and winterize our home their. He brought Snert back with him to start quarantine. We were allowed 2 hours everyday with Snert so we made a picnic out of it. The 30 days really dragged on. Then on November 30, at 8:00am, Snert was released from jail. We were all overjoyed that day. |

Since then we have become very active in several non-profit organizations and also volunteer at the local church kitchen which feeds the needy. We still miss old friends and family, but we have made many new friends. Maui is a very special place in paradise! |
